Harold Elias Letts, Sr., 86 of Elkton, MD, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. A lifetime resident of Cecil County, he was born in NOrth East on November 30, 1923, the son of the late William Newbold and the late Helen Rebecca Demond Letts. Mr. Letts was the beloved husband of Rose Beatrice Letts of Elkton, MD. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the railroad working as an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad and then for Conrail. He enjoyed boating and fishing. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include a granddaughter, Dawn Letts of Leonardtown, MD and a brother, Homard Letts of Rockport, TX. He was also preceded in death by a son, Harold Letts, Jr. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
