Harold Saul Butler

Harold (Hal) Saul Butler, 81 of North East, MD, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Thomas Butler and Beatrice (Slomberg) Butler Montana.

Harold served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S.Ticonderoga aircraft carrier (Vietnam). He worked as a Two-Way Radio Technician for the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) before retirement.  He was a member of the American Legion, Rising Sun, MD, a member of ECKANKAR, the Path of Spiritual Freedom, and served as an ECK Cleric.

Survivors include his loving wife: Janet (Ford) Butler; sister: Linda Lange; nephews: Michael Lange, Stephen Lange (Jennifer); niece: Sharon Gaskill (Jason); great nephew: Jaxon Gaskill; great nieces: Skyler Lange, Ashley MacLeish; brother: David Ford (Susan); nephew: Jacob Ford; and niece: Anna Ford.

An ECK Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
