Gurnie W. Poe, Jr.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on January 31, 1947 the son of the late Gurnie W. and the late Bessie Pearl (Rogers) Poe.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Gurnie is survived by his children: Gurnie W. Poe III of North East, MD and Patsy Lynn Poe of Bear, DE; 2 brothers: Charles Poe of Bear, DE, Joseph Poe of Elkton, MD; and 3 sisters: Frances Bolen of Bluefield, VA, Micki Hyter of Morristown, TN and Cathy Sexton of Gastonia, SC.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Fred Junior Poe.
