Gregory L. Shiel

Gregory L. Shiel, 70 of Charlestown, MD, passed away at home Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Born July 15, 1952, he was the son of the late James and Phyllis (Lee) Shiel. He was the husband of the late, Teresa Inez (Meadows) Shiel who passed in 1980.

Gregory retired from the Cecil County Roads Department.

He was passionate about cars, especially Chevelle’s. Enjoyed attending Cruising for a Cure car show and dogs.

Gregory is survived by his son: Gary L. Shiel of Media, PA; siblings: Phala Jianniney, Paul Shiel of Elkton, MD, David Shiel of North East, MD and John Shiel of Elkton, MD; many cousins; and close family friend: Sandi Van Dyke.

In addition to his parents and wife, Teresa he was preceded in death by his brother: Jimmy Shiel; sister: Sharon Eggers; and cousin: Theresa Balasko.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
