Grace Kelly (Kelly) Barton

Grace Kelly Barton, 97 of Charlestown, MD, died Saturday, May 19 2012 at home.
Born in Harlan, KY, on August 7, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John H. and the late Clarida (Creech) Kelly.
She was a homemaker who admired the outdoors.  She enjoyed mowing the lawn and gardening.  She also loved basketball and bicycle riding. Grace was an active member of the Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church and Perryville Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Barton was the wife of the late, Oddis Barton who died in 1975.  She is also preceded in death by her son Chester Barton, grandson Randy Barton, great-grandson Chester Barton, brothers: Chester and Lawrence Kelly, sisters: Arkie Hensley, Ruby Musick, and Gladys Cloud.
She is survived by her son: Larry Barton and his wife Billie Jean, Elkton, MD., grandson: Larry G. Barton, Jr., granddaughters: Connie Shotwell, Linda Sue Bennett, and Darlene Strazala; 11 great grandchildren: 17 great-great grandchildren; a special niece: Gail Groff and special great-grandson: Randy Barton.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dennis Gilbert, will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, Charlestown, MD, with visitation beginning at 11AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
