Gilbert Paul Holmes

Gilbert Paul Holmes, 75 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Elkton Care and Rehab, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of Elkton, he was born on November 8, 1936, the son of the late George and the late Myrtle Shivery Holmes. He was the husband of the late Violet Holmes who passed in 1995. He retired with 32 years of service with Schultz Mobile Homes, Elkton, MD; then worked with the State Highway Administration. Survivors include his daughter: Terri Holmes; 3 grandsons: Christopher Holmes, Howard and Michael Lockard; 3 brothers: Jerry, Richard and David Holmes; and 4 sisters: Dorothy Dill, Mary Ellen Bragg, Jeanette Dennison and Sharon Newman. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers: George Holmes, Sr. and Daniel Holmes. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Hart's United Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral expenses to Crouch Funeral Home, P.A.
