Gertrude L. Allen

Gertrude L. Allen, 93 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in the Laurelwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Elkton, MD. Born in Carroll County, VA, on March 1, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Lucy Johnson McCraw. She was the wife of the late William Jess Allen who died on July 12, 1985. Survivors include: one daughter: Donna Thomas and her husband Jimmie of Elkton, MD and three sons: James Allen and his wife Penny of Paradise, PA; Larry Allen of Elk Creek, VA; Thomas Allen of Elkton, MD; two brothers: Roy McCraw of Elkton, MD; Rooby McCraw of Elkton, MD; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a son: Jesse Allen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev.
