George Herbert Zahn, Sr.

George Herbert Zahn, Sr., 63 of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on September 26, 1957, he was the son of the late Gottfried and Mary Agnes (Pearce) Zahn.

He served his country proudly for four years in the U.S. Navy.

Prior to his retirement, George was an Associate Test Director at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

He was a member of VFW Post 8175, Elkton, MD and a former member of the Elkton Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife: Nancy I. Zahn of Elkton, MD; their children: Amy Zahn, George H. Zahn, Jr. and Sarah Zahn all of Elkton, MD; his siblings: Jacob Zahn, Rosie Poole, Ann Smith and Linda Nowak.  Also survived by five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Bolen and Sara Bilotti.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
