George Edward Queen

George Edward Queen was born to the late Raymond and Grace (Clayton) Queen on November 15, 1946, in Armstrong Corner, DE. George departed this life on August 11, 2023 surrounded by his family and 2 dogs (Kane and Polo).

George received his early education at Louis L. Redding in Middletown, Delaware. After school, he enlisted in the United States Navy from which time he served until July 1, 1971. He became employed with Chrysler Corporation in 1972 and remained there for 35 years before retiring.

George was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah Henry. From that union, Katina and Tamika Queen were born, in addition, he fathered Rhonda, Charmaine, and Jermaine.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Raymond and Grace Queen and siblings Joe Clayton, Carrie Skyer, Bernice Smith, Ella Mae Suggs, Renzie Queen, Thomas Queen, Paul Queen, Helen Perkins, and Alice Loat. 1 grandson, Marque Queen.

Leaves to cherish his memory: 1 sister Ruby Henry (Dallas); children Rhonda Johnson (James), Katina Dennis (Michael), Jermaine Wesley, Charmaine Wesley, and Tamika Queen-Alberson (William); 19 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends including his Washington Park Family.

Devoted friend Melinda Johnson and little girl that stole his heart, Amerie Henry. Close friend, Richard Newsome, and closest confidants; Iona Queen, Elaine Suggs, and Linda Duarte.

George’s caregiver was his son-in-law, Michael Dennis, who he considered his best friend.

As per George’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
