George F. Fitzroy, Jr.

George F. "Skip" Fitzroy, Jr., age 70 of North East, Maryland, passed away Monday, March 21, at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Maryland. Born in Providence, Rhode, Island, on July 22, 1934, he was a son of the late, George F., Sr. and Jessie Thelma Bowman Fitzroy. He was owner and operator of Skip's Welding, Elkton, Maryland. Skip served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the North East Lions Club, and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 8175, Elkton, Maryland and the Cecil Lodge # 125, A.F. & A.M., Chesapeake City, Maryland. He enjoyed golfing. Skip is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosalee Fitzroy, North East, Maryland, 4 children, David R. and George F. Fitzroy, III., both of North East, Maryland, Terri Lee Vannoy and Vicki Lyne Crockett, both of Elkton, Maryland 8 grandchildren; David and Bobbi Jo Crockett, Tara and Jay Vannoy, Scott and Kyle Fitzroy, Robbie and Samantha Daffin. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Family and friends are invited to visit from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at the funeral home.
