George Alexander, Jr.

George Buck Hawkins Alexander, Jr., 90 of Wilmington, DE, died in the presence of his family on Sunday, August 8, 2010 Elkton, MD. An Army veteran who served his country honorably in the South Pacific during World War II, George was also a life-long outdoorsman and an accomplished horseman, retiring from the Park Service in the State of Delaware at the age of 72. George is survived by his eight children: George Alexander III and wife, Nancy, Gregory Alexander and wife Lisa, Geoffrey Alexander and wife Lori, Gary Alexander, Ave Marie Alexander, Celeste Alexander, Glen Alexander and Gerard Alexander; as well as his sister Glenna M. Rivers; his eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. George was a member of St. Thomas Church in Wilmington, DE. Funeral services will be private.
