Geneva D. Mentz

Geneva D. Mentz, 82 of Elkton, MD, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in WV, on May 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Mary Williams Udy. She was the wife of the late Hubert C. Mentz, Sr. who died on Jan. 6, 2008. Mrs. Mentz enjoyed reading and shopping. She especially enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds and all types of flowers. She is survived by her children: Linda K. McGlothlin of Lincoln University, PA, Mary Ellen Harris of North East, MD, James C. Mentz of Elkhart, IN, Hubert C. Mentz, Jr. of Perryville, MD; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Carolyn Bunting will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, MD. Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Calvert Manor Healthcare Center or Baldwin UM Church, both in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
