Genetta Faye Sturgill

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Genetta Faye Sturgill, born on September 16, 1938, who departed from this life on November 29, 2024. Genetta was a beloved member of the Church of God in North East, Maryland, often remembered for her unwavering dedication and nurturing spirit. Genetta served with distinction as a custodian at North East High School, part of the Cecil County Public Schools system. Her commitment to maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for students and staff alike was a testament to her strong work ethic and deep care for others.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her son Martin Sturgill, daughters Sandy Hammond, Selina Logan, and Michelle Sadik, sister Donna Gargiulo. Genetta is also survived by her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the love and memories that Genetta leaves behind. She will be missed dearly and will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Genetta was preceded in death by: Lee Sturgill, John Marshall, Okie Marshall, Jimmy Marshall, Harold Marshall, and Ricky Marshall.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD; Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, followed by the Interment at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland.
