Fred Junior Poe

Fred Junior Poe, 63 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at home. Born in Frederick County, VA, on April 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Gurnie W. and the late Bessie Pearl Rogers Poe. He was a Maintenance Employee employed by Marriott Corporation. He is survived by one daughter: Sandra Poe of Elkton, MD; a step-son: John Poe of New Castle, DE; three brothers: Charles Poe of Bear, DE, Gurnie Poe of North East, MD, Joseph Poe of Elkton, MD; three sisters: Frances Bolen of Abbes Valley, VA, Micki Hyter of Morristown, TN, Cathy Sexton of Gastonia, SC; three grandchildren: Michael Smith of Newark, DE, Chris Matthews of Elkton, MD, Holley Poe of Elkton, MD; a nephew: Gurnie Poe III of North East, MD; a niece: Patsy Lynn Poe of Bear, DE; and his best friend, Ronnie Rhoades of North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crouch Funeral Home.
