Franklin Thomas Moore

Franklin Thomas Moore, 84 of North East, MD, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Chesapeake City, MD, on November 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Archie Teal and the late Alice A. Clifton Moore. Mr. Moore served during World War II in the Army. He retired from Cecil County Public Schools as a Painter. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 7687, Chesapeake City, MD; and the American Legion Mason Dixon Post 194, Rising Sun, MD. He is survived by: his wife, Ida J. "Billie" Moore of Chesapeake City, MD; his children: Billie Lee Weber and her husband Larry of Wilmington, DE; Alice Shores of New Castle, DE; Franklin T. Moore, Jr. of North East, MD; Archie L. Moore and his wife Sarah of Elkton, MD; Bobby Moore of North East, MD; Linda Atkinson and her husband Eugene of North East, MD; Betty Rother and her husband Eric of Elkton, MD; and George C. Moore and his wife Beth of Chesapeake City, MD; one sister: Ethel Mathis of Okeechobee, FL; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Pauline D. Moore; his brother: Jefferson D. Moore and his sister: Helen Benjamin Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call starting at 10:00 AM. Rev. Daniel Gedman will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
