Frank Anthony Lepore, Sr.

Frank Anthony Lepore, Sr., 87 of North East, MD, died Monday, August 22, 2011 in the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD surrounded by his loving family. A resident of Cecil County for over 60 years, he was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 12, 1923, the son of the late Frank and the late Rachel Lauria Lepore. He was the husband of 52 years of the late Esther Lepore who died in 2004. He served his country admirably during World War II in the Army. Mr. Lepore retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 135, Perryville, MD for over 50 years; a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Elkton, MD; and an usher at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Perryville, MD for over 30 years. Survivors include his children: daughter, Marie Jackson and husband Robert L., son, Frank A. Lepore, Jr.; and granddaughter: Shannon M. Jackson and her fiancée Justin Schmidt, all of North East, MD; and his sister: Mary Martin of CA. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Henry and Rocco Lepore. A Mass of Christian Burial, conducted by Father John Solomon will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to American Legion Post #135 or Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, both in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
