Frank Merlin England

Frankie "Frank" Merlin England April 2, 1937 - December 19, 2011 Surrounded by his immediate family, Frank quietly slipped into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday evening. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Katherine, daughter Karen L. Harrington and husband Dr. John A Harrington of Fawn Grove, PA, son David M. England and wife Beverly of North East, MD. Grandchildren Robyn M. Meyers and her husband Chris of Cherry Hill, NJ, Hayley and Noah England and Hannah Harrington, and one great granddaughter Lily Meyers. Frank retired from General Motors Assembly Division, Wilmington, DE in December of 1990. His family was his life, especially his grandchildren, and working in and around the church was his passion. Born in Alpoca, WV to the late Grant U. England and Bessie M. Bailey England, Frank was also preceded in death by brother Douglas and sister Betty. Surviving siblings are brother Boyd England and wife Beatrice of Beckley, WV, sister Wanda Walls and her husband Larry of Cyclone, WV and sister in law Kathleen England widow of Douglas of Jesse, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Ln, Port Deposit, MD 21904 on Thursday December 22, 2011; viewing will be 5:30 - 7:00 PM, funeral services immediately following at 7:00 PM. Interment services will be at North East Methodist Cemetery on Friday December 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Harold M. Phillips and Dr. John A. Harrington presiding. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the building fund of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
