Francis Anthony Ogonowski

Francis Anthony Ogonowski, 76 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Long Island, NY, on May 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Anthony and the late Stella Spychala Ogonowski. He served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Kuhn Construction. A member of the V.F.W. of Newark, he enjoyed farming, boating, harness racing and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years: Patricia Ogonowski of North East, MD; three daughters: Susan Jamison of Rising Sun, MD, Lisa Tome of Perryville, MD, Laurie Ogonowski of Greenwood, DE; three grandchildren: Sean Jamison, Patricia Jamison, Rowland Tome III; and his siblings: Henry Ogonowski of Newport, DE, Sophie Napolski of Wilmington, DE and Stella Chalfant of Wilmington, DE. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four siblings: Edward Ogonowski, Joseph Ogonowski, Helen Siple and Jean Gregson. Funeral services, conducted by Father Stanislao Esposito will be held Monday, March 22, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM.
