Francis Marion "Bud" Johnson

Francis Marion “Bud” Johnson, 82, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Bud was born August 24, 1941 in Paintsville, KY to the late Lacy and Sarah (Chapman) Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Gregory Johnson; brothers Danny Johnson and William Johnson; and sisters Ginny Suggs, Flo Pack, Gloria Hylton, and Sherry Smith.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years Patricia Johnson; children Sarah Hinkle (David Carter) and Dakota Johnson (John Hill); grandchildren Shane Hinkle and Josephine Hinkle; brothers Wilson Johnson, Paul Johnson, and David Johnson; and sisters Opal Johnson and Libby Sester.

Bud was a devoted Christian and a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. He was an outdoorsman spending much of his time hunting, fishing, and farming. His professional career led him to Wilmington, Delaware where he worked for 31 years as a body man for the General Motors Company.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at North East Methodist Cemetery in North East, Maryland.
