Frances W. Johnson

Frances W. Johnson, 85 of North East, MD, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Elkton Care and Rehab, Elkton, MD. Born in Oxford, PA, on June 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Rush and the late Laura Reedy Webb. She was the wife of the late William I. Johnson, Jr. who died in 1997. Mrs. Johnson was a school bus driver for Kenny Harrington, Rising Sun, MD. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perryville. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and most of all time spent with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Shirley Thomas of Port Deposit, MD, John Johnson of Conestoga, PA, William I. Johnson, III of North East, MD and Lynn Vaughan of Licking, MO; 3 sisters: Ada Hamilton of Port Orange, FL, June Yale of Rising Sun, MD and Joan Brantner of Thurmont, MD; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Exie Cox, Claude Webb, Marie Meadows, Letta Coleman and Mary Lyman. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Jerry Wood will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
