Frances Rebecca Johnson

Frances Rebecca Johnson, 78 of North East, MD, died Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Christiana Hospital, Christiana, DE. Born in North East, MD, on September 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John Harris and the late Emma J. Kirkpatrick Johnson. Miss Johnson was the first female Postal Clerk on the East Coast, retiring from the North East Post Office. She was a member of the North East Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and wildlife, walks in the woods, homemade cooking and baking, bluegrass music and watching Scooby Doo on tv. Survivors include: Thomas A. Johnson of North East, MD; one sister: Mary Whitehead of North East, MD; three nieces: Sharon Smith, Linda Powers, Jayne Hamilton and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hamilton; and a brother, William Billy Johnson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland, where family and friends may call starting at 1:00 PM. Rev.
