Floyd E. Tennant

Floyd E. "Sonny" Tennant, 68 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Morgantown, WV, on February 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Clyde Dale and the late Helen Elizabeth Moore Tennant. He was the owner/operator of Sonny's Septic Service and also worked for Elkton Sparkler Co., North East, MD. Sonny is survived by his loving companion of many years: Etta Raines of North East, MD; his children: John Tennant of North East, MD; Johnie Raines of Elkton, MD; Lester Raines of North East, MD; Falena Little of Elkton, MD; and Romona Evans of Elkton, MD; his siblings: Minnie McDilda of Elkton, MD; Irene Nichols of Easton, MD; Kevin "Buck" Tennant of North East, MD; and Kenny R. Tennant of Morgantown, WV. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Sue Tennant and a brother, Dale Tennant. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
