Floyd Russell Kurtz

Floyd Russell Kurtz, 85 of Cochranville, PA, died Monday, September 8, 2008 in the Pocopson Home, West Chester, PA. Born in Odessa, MN, on January 11, 1923, he was the son of the late Frank M. and the late Elsie M. Teigh Kurtz. He was the husband of the late Christina A. Kurtz who died Sept. 19, 2005. Mr. Kurtz served 6 years in the US Navy and 14 years in the US Army. He retired from the US Army as an Aircraft Mechanic. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Perryville, MD. Survivors include: his son: Frank Kurtz and his wife Diane of Cochranville, PA; grandchildren: Kenda Kurtz of Clifton Heights, PA, Kelly Kurtz of Baltimore, MD, Frankie Kurtz of Cochranville, PA, Cory Kurtz of Cochranville, PA; and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 6:30 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 6:00 PM. Rev. Jeffrey Elwood will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Youth Challenge International Bible Institute, 1798 Snydertown Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
