Flossie "Ruth" Beal

Flossie "Ruth" Beal, 79 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the Laurelwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkton, MD. Born in French, WV, on November 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Hetzel and the late Estella Cogle Largent. She enjoyed flowers, collecting cookie jars and dolls. She raised bunny rabbits and was affectionately known as the "Rabbit Lady". Survivors include her loving husband: Wallace H. Beal of Elkton, MD; son, Gary Beal of Elkton, MD; her granddaughters whom she raised, Tammy Goheen of Ocean City, MD and Debbie Boyle of North East, MD; sister: Ruby Haines of Cabin John, MD; and her great grandchildren: John Miller, Jr., Jessica Boyle, Abby Boyle, and Casey Boyle all of North East, MD; and also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Allen. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
