Florence W. (Wood) Kidd

Florence W. Kidd, 84 of North East, MD, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.

A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on October 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Herbert S. and Erma (Moyer) Wood.  She was the wife of the late William Kidd.

Florence worked as a legal secretary for Joe Mahoney, Elkton, MD.  She was a member of Hart’s UM Church in Elk Neck and the Christian Messengers singing group.

She is survived by her children: Ruth St. John (Marc) of Summerton, NC, Royce Logan (Debbie), Alice Sturgill and Jean Logan all of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren: Suzanne, Sheri, Norman, Leslie, Jennifer, Sam and Rachel; and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitations will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD and also on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD from 10:00 am until funeral services begin at 11:00 am.  Rev. Drew Christian and Rev. Dan Gedman will officiate.

Interment will follow in Hart's United Methodist Cemetery, Elk Neck, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hart’s UM Church, in care of the funeral home.
