Faye (Meador) Combs

Faye Combs, 82 of North East, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2017.

Born in Beckley, WV, on July 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Clara (Graham) Meador.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Combs was a teacher at Elkton Christian Academy for over 10 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of North East, MD.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years: Duane Combs; son: Steve Combs of Elkton, MD; daughter: Becky Horvs of Mechanicsville, VA; five siblings: Geraldine Crawford and Irene Smith both of Coal City, WV, Betty Dvorak of Elkton, MD, James Meador of Columbus, SC and Catherine Meador of Elkton, MD; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter and one great grandchild on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter: Donna Purple.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Baptist Church of North East, in care of the funeral home.
