Eveylon Francine Dean, 78 of North East, MD, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Wister, OK, on June 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leonard A. and the late Zoe Chronister Skinner. She was the wife of the late Merritt B. Dean. Mrs. Dean was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross, and former member of the Chesapeake Bay Radio Association and Cecil County Fair. She enjoyed fishing. She is survived by one daughter: Theresa Francine Cowan of North East, MD and three sons: P. Eugene Dean of Newark, DE; David Robert Dean of Elkton, MD; and James Edward Dean of Elkton, MD. Also two sisters: Emma Hamm of Hammond, IN and Jean Cavalri of Sacramento, CA; half-sister, Janie Fludd of Gary, IN; and a half-brother, Aaron Skinner of Gary, IN. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her half-sister, Gloria Edwards. Mrs. Dean is also survived by 15 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 9:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Tuesday evening, November 7, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. James Bellin will officiate. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Mrs. Dean may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Attn: Memorial Contributions, Baltimore/Central Maryland Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093-5142; or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 8501 La Salle Road, Suite 106, Towson, MD 21286.
