Evelyn Rebecca Lockard

Evelyn Rebecca Lockard, 89 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Elkton Care and Rehab, Elkton, MD. Born in Johnson City, TN, on March 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William B. and the late Lola Miller Tribble. She was the wife of the late Roland H. "Hampy" Lockard who died January 2, 2002. Evelyn was employed by Plasticoid in Elkton, MD where she worked in the Quality Control Department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East, North East, MD. She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Vecchio and her husband John of Havre de Grace, MD; a sister: Elizabeth Barker of Chesapeake City, MD; a brother: Robert Tribble of Warrensville, NC; a granddaughter, Robin King of Havre de Grace, MD; 2 great grandchildren: Ryan and Regan and 2 great-great grandchildren: Kaleb and Kaylee. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Harry, Leroy and William Tribble; a sister: Wilma Blevins; and a grandson: Todd Taylor. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Daniel Mohler will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the First Baptist Church of North East, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, MD where visitation for friends and family will be held from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in the North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of North East.
