Eugene Beard Williams, Sr.

Eugene Beard Williams, Sr., 79 of Conowingo, MD, died Friday, August 29, 2008 in the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Greenbrier County, WV, on November 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Samuel A. and the late Zella Sue Bostic Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of V.F.W. Post 10146, Darlington, MD and enjoyed playing in shuffle board tournaments. He was a lifelong farmer. Survivors include his loving wife: Lilly MaePatterson Williams of Conowingo, MD; his children: Eugene B. Williams of Colora, MD, David A. Williams of Rising Sun, MD, Joseph L. Williams of Conowingo, MD, Rosemary A. Wulkewicz of New Castle, DE, Linda L. Woods of Crescent City, FL, and Anne M. Williams of Newark, DE; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit on Thursday evening, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Ricky Comer will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery, Bel Air, MD.
