Etta A Johnson

Etta A Johnson
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born on October 17, 1921, in North East. Etta was the daughter of the late Herbert Stanley and the late Elsie V. (Hammond) Reed. She was the beloved wife of 56 years of the late, Robert Dale Johnson.
She worked at Triumph Explosives during World War II. Etta was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters: E. Audrey Knisley of Pittsboro, NC, Janette L. Underwood of North East, MD; her sister: Ada Edwards of Leola, PA; and her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Robert D. Johnson, Jr., her brother, George Reed, and one grandson, Stephen Anthony Underwood.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend, Etta’s funeral service on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests Friday evening, from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to: Alzheimer's Association, or
American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
