Ethel P. Stewart

Ethel P. Stewart, 95 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Elkton Care and Rehabilitation Center, Elkton, MD. Born in Buchanan County, VA, on June 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Campbell C. and the late Polly Perkins Church. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Stewart, Sr. who died on Feb. 27, 1995. She was a member of Little Freedom Old Regular Baptist Church, Vansant, VA. Survivors include her children: Robert H. Fields and his wife Betty, Eugene R. Stewart and his wife Peggy, Shirley Biggers, Charles H. Stewart, Jr. and Barbara J. Daniels and her husband Walter all of North East, MD; two sisters: Helen Holbrook of Abindon, VA, Violet Stacy of NC; 9 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Steven L. Stewart and a great grandson, Kyle Dacey. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
