Ethel M. Steady

Ethel M. Steady, 81 formerly of Elkton, MD passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 in the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation, Culpeper, VA.

Born in Elkton, MD, on August 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert Rhoades and Edna (Simpers) Rhoades Musgrove. She was the wife of the late, David Richard Steady who passed May 31, 2000.

Ethel enjoyed raising her family, helping care for her grandson David. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, BINGO, reading, shopping and taking trips on Royal Caribbean Cruises.

She is survived by her children: Judith Workman of Charlestown, MD, Diana Hansen of Elkton, MD and Cynthia Steady of Goldvein, VA; siblings: Albert Rhoades, Jr. of Elkton, MD and Emily Lavery of MS; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by her children: Paul Parker, Jr. and Kristina Steady.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
