Enos Lapp Detweiler, Jr.

Enos Lapp Detweiler, Jr., 81 of North East, MD, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Doylestown, PA, on December 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Enos Lapp Detweiler, Sr. and the late Frances Maude Davis Detweiler. Mr. Detweiler was the beloved husband of Grace Stultz Franklin Detweiler of North East, MD. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Bench & Floor Hand, retiring from General Motors and a part-time farmer. Mr. Detweiler was a member of State Line Baptist Church, Rising Sun, MD. He enjoyed organic vegetable gardening. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters: Brenda Wilson of Middletown, DE, Joy Blasier of North East, MD, Margaret E. Bossard of North East, MD and one son: Enos Gerald Detweiler of North East, MD; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at State Line Baptist Church, Rising Sun, MD, with funeral services following at the church cemetery at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dean Wyatt will officiate.
