Elsie W.H. (Hoffmann) Travis

Elsie W.H. Travis, 91 of Rising Sun, MD, formerly of Lumberton, NJ, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2018.  She resided at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD.

Born in Brookline, PA, on August 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George Millard and Elsie (Wilson) Hoffmann.  She was the wife of the late David Travis who passed in 1977.

Mrs. Travis graduated from Grove City College in 1948.  She worked for the Board of Christian Ed. of the Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA for over 20 years as a file clerk.

She is survived by her two children: Andy Travis (Cathy) of North East, MD, Tara Travis of Mt. Holly, NJ; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12:00 noon at First Presbyterian Church, 125 Garden Street, Mt. Holly, NJ, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will be Monday, August 13, 2018 in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
