Eloise Rhudy Harvey

Eloise Rhudy Harvey, 90 of Rising Sun, MD, formerly of North East, MD, died Friday, November 2, 2007 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Independence, VA, on June 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Mary Rhudy. She graduated from North East High School in 1935 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert C. Harvey, who pre-deceased her in 1991. Known for her smile and caring personality, she spent many years as greeter at Hart's United Methodist Church, Elk Neck, MD, where she was an active member. She was a collector of stamps and open salts and enjoyed gardening and watching wildlife. Her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Peters and her husband Alan of Chadds Ford, PA; her brother, George C. Rhudy, of North East, MD; two grandchildren, Andrew A. Peters and his wife Heather of Coatsville, PA; Meghan Geary and her husband Michael of Wilmington, DE; and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace Peters and Alison Eloise Geary, the most recent and cherished additions to the family. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews who visited her frequently. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Hart's Cemetery, Elk Neck, MD.
