Ellen A. (Anderson) Van Sice

Ellen A. Van Sice, 90 of Port Deposit, MD, passed away at home Friday, December 22, 2023 with her best friend and daughter, Lisa Cliento by her side.

Born in Tacoma, WA, on December 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John Albert and Myrtle Emma (Henderson) Anderson. She was the wife of the late, David E. Van Sice who passed on December 18, 2019.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, bowling and laughing with her friends and family. Ellen was a devoted Mother, Wife and Grandmom. Especially to her grandson, Colton Cilento, her little buddy and the apple of her eye.

Ellen is survived by her children: Lisa Cilento, Christy Carroll, Deborah Betancort and Lisa Tompkins; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband of 36 years, Ellen was preceded in death by her son: James A. Hadley, Jr.; sisters: Hazel, Minerva, Irene and Verla; brothers: Roy, Harlan and Willard.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of North East, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of North East, in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
