Ella Mae Perkins

Ella Mae Perkins, 87 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Rising Sun, MD, on June 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Louis Benjamin and the late Martha Elizabeth Harris Brown. She was the wife of the late Wallace S. Perkins who passed on June 14, 1988. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed flowers. Survivors include her children: Wallace S. Perkins, Jr. of Port Deposit, MD, Sarah Vermilyea of Port Deposit, MD, Rosie Combs of North East, MD, Raymond A. Perkins of Elkton, MD, Ada Shelley of Rising Sun, MD, Kathi Van Lill of North East, MD, Mark Perkins of Elkton, MD, Teresa Perkins of North East, MD and John Perkins of Charlestown, MD; her sister, Bertha Church of Dunmore, PA; 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Bay View Cemetery, Bay View, MD.
