Elizabeth M. Henry

Mrs. Elizabeth M. Henry, 93 of Charlestown, MD, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2011. Born on July 14, 1918 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Williams in Elkton, MD, she had 2 brothers and 1 sister who all preceded her in death, William, Angelo and Josephine. She was the beloved wife of 59 years of the late, J. Cranford Henry who passed on Sept. 1, 2007. Before retirement, Elizabeth worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 31 years in charge of the Ammunition Procurement Section. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Perryville, MD; and a life member of the American Legion and the VFW. She loved to go on trips with the Destroyer Escort – Maryland Division, USN, with her husband to the West Coast with a stop on the way home in Las Vegas. She also liked all sports and to place a bet on a good horse would make her day. Elizabeth is survived by several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She will surely be missed by all. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown, MD.
