Edwards Hall Givans

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Hall Givans, beloved husband, father, and friend, who entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on June 2, 1953, in Oxford, Pennsylvania, Edward spent his life filled with passion and purpose, residing in North East, Maryland.

Edward dedicated many years of his life as a Stacker Crane Operator at IKEA, where he was respected and valued by his coworkers. He was a man of diverse interests, finding joy in playing the bass, collecting swords, and nurturing his love for model cars and computer games. Edward was also an auto-detailer at Advantage Ford, Dodge, Jeep.

Above all, Edward was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving spouse, Carol Givans of North East, MD, and his four cherished daughters: April Boyce of Elkton, MD, Bonnie Wright of Meridian, MS, Christina O'Dell of Spartanburg, SC, and Denise McCotter of Elkton, MD. As well as his brother-in-law, Alfred (Buddy) Lawton. Edward is also survived by his 10 adoring Grandchildren, with another on the way; and his 17 Great-Grandchildren. His family will forever carry his spirit in their hearts, grateful for the countless memories created together.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Layman Givans and Delores (McDaniel) Givans; his sister, Patty Lawton.

Edward's spirit will be remembered fondly by those who knew him, and his legacy of love and creativity will live on through his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
