Edward Leo Oakes, 60 of North East, MD, died Sunday, April 6, 2008. Born in Maryland, on March 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Calvin G. and the late Mildred Carper Oakes. He worked in Bridge Construction and greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughters: Jaqueline Oakes of Middle River, MD; Lisa Rothblum of North East, MD; Sabrina Oakes of Middle River, MD; three sisters: Dixie Scheitlin of Moscow, PA; Cathy Franco of Essex, MD; Jaqueline Heck of Essex, MD; and 5 grandchildren Services will be private.
