Edward Arnold Horn, Sr., 60 of Rising Sun, MD, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 18, 2011 as a result of a car accident in Shelbyville, KY. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on April 3, 1951 he was the son of Margery Hill Horn of Rising Sun, MD and the late Arnold Edward Horn. Mr. Horn was the beloved husband of Nancy Conway Horn for 42 years. A lifelong resident of Rising Sun, he attended Rising Sun High School and retired from Chrysler in 2002 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed attending services at United Pentecostal Church of Newark. Eddie enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and attending religious concerts and shows in TN. He enjoyed Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN and going to dirt track races to watch sprint cars with his family. He enjoyed going to the mountains and camping with his grandchildren. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, his children, family and friends. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his children: Vicky Horn at home, Edward A. Horn, Jr. and wife Carmen of Palm Coast, FL; his sisters: Carol Parker and husband William of North East, MD, Ann Simmons and husband John, Bonnie Horn, Brenda Snider and husband William all of Rising Sun, MD; and sister-in-law, Wendy Horn of NY; his grandchildren: Kelsey Horn, who he raised and considered his daughter, Zachary and Joshua Horn of Palm Coast, FL, Matt Adams of Rising Sun, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Horn, Sr. and nephew, David B. Carpenter. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, September 22, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, and again on Friday morning, starting at 10:00 AM prior to services. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A. Interment will follow in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
