Edna Rae (Fleming) Parnell

Edna Rae Fleming Parnell, 92 of North East, MD. Born in Frisco City, AL, on April 26, 1925, passed away January 27, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar Leroy Fleming and Frankie Lee Fleming.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband: Henry Clay Ikner; granddaughter: Tina Louise Ikner; 3 sisters: Mary Dannley, Marjorie Brown and Aucilla Harrison; and nephew: Donnie Bowen.

Edna was a past member of Monroeville Baptist Church.  She worked for over 17 years at Vanity Fair in Monroeville, AL, R-M-R in Elkton, MD, Lass Garment Factory, North East, MD and at Cecil County Dragway, Rising Sun, MD.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Robert Parnell; sons:   Eugene Ikner (Wanda) of Elkton, MD, Larry Ikner (Wilma Jean) and Robert Charles Parnell, Jr. all of North East, MD; daughters: Kitty Rae Comer (John) of Rising Sun, MD and Lori Ann Vipperman (Jeffrey) of Elkton, MD. Edna also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Remembrance service, conducted by Rev. Jack Cohen will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
