Edith Viola Corron

Edith Viola Anderson Corron, "Mom Mom Edie", 72 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Elkton Care and Rehab, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, MD, on October 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Earl Lewis and the late Rose Viola Wright Anderson. She was employed at RMR Corp. for 18 years before retiring from the University of Delaware, where she work in the Custodial Dept. Edith was a 1957 graduate of North East High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East. Survivors include her children: David Corron, Matt Corron Debbie and Rose Schmoker Terry; 5 grandchildren: Danielle Klotz Eric, Jenny Corron, Matthew Corron, Jr., Bradley Corron and Jason Wright Krystal; 5 great grandchildren: Cameron, Kayden, Khloe, Madison and Brody; 1 brother: Jimmy Anderson; 1 sister: Ruby Woodring; and her good friend and father of her children: Frank Corron. She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Lewis Anderson; and 2 sisters: Mary Meadows and Barbara Gaylord. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until service time. Rev. Dr. Stephen Hokuf and Rev. Dennis Burks will officiate. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
