Eddie L. Basham

Eddie L. Basham, 76 of Perryville, MD, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the Laurelwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Elkton, MD. Born in Farmington, MD, on March 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Edgar and the late Aldine Starkey Basham. He was a farmer in Rising Sun, MD, a member of the North East Fire Company, serving as a Lt. in the Fire Police, and a member of Janes United Methodist Church, Rising Sun. Survivors include his loving wife: Evelyn E. Basham of Perryville, MD; his children: Edward L. Basham of Conowingo, MD and Susan A. Basham of Perryville, MD; two grandsons: Justin and Gary Basham; and two great grandchildren: Evelyn Marie Basham and Michael Edward Basham all of Rising Sun, MD. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Basham. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends held Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
