Douglas R Martin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas R. Martin Sr. of Elkton, MD, who left this world on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on May 25, 1956, in Pikeville, KY, Douglas dedicated his life to his family and his work, serving for 31 years as a material coordinator at Chrysler. His dedication and hard work were evident in every aspect of his life, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and loved ones.

Douglas was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Alice Martin, and a proud father to his children: Nicole Jackson, Latrice Bishop, Steven Feiler, All of Elkton MD, Dylan Martin of Aberdeen MD, James Gill of Smyrna DE, and Douglas Martin Jr of Elkton, MD. He was a devoted grandfather of 10 and great- great-grandfather of 1. He also cherished his siblings Lois Martin (Dennis), Rita Hall, Phyllis Martin (Curt) all of Elkton MD, Tracy Stevenson (Mike) of DE, and Michael Martin of Rising Sun, MD. Doug's family was always at the center of his life, and his love for them will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Clara (Hamilton) Martin.

Beyond his professional life, Douglas found joy in the great outdoors. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and crabbing, often sharing stories of his adventures with family and friends. His laughter and enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Douglas's life during a public viewing on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East MD A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00 PM.

As we gather to honor his memory, we remember a man who touched lives with kindness and generosity. Douglas R. Martin Sr. will be sorely missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
