Dorothy Marie Veasey

Dorothy Biddle Veasey, aged 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born June 11, 1931 in Cecil County, MD to Mary Biddle. She was the oldest of four siblings, Robert, Nan, Marianne, and Patrick. Throughout the eighties and nineties, Dorothy worked closely with the Youth at Risk Foundation. In recognition to her dedication to helping those in need, she was named as one of the thousand points of light by the George Bush I administration. Dorothy was very dedicated to her family. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, William Veasey; children, David, Roxayne, Michael, Darcy, and Patricia; grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901 on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Flowers may be sent there in memoriam.
