Dorothy I. Mawyer, 86 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Laurelwood Nursing Elkton, MD.
Wife of the late Oscar Page Mawyer, she was born in Gap Mills, WV, on September 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and the late Lora Ene (Rollins) Dunsmore.
She was employed by Giant Foods in Alexandria VA for 32 years with perfect attendance before retiring. Dorothy also worked for Food Lion in Elkton for 10 years.
Mrs. Mawyer is survived by two sons: Henry Kirk of West Sacramento, CA and Franklin Kirk of Peabody, MA. : her siblings; Elsie, Gladys, Bessie, Roy, Shirley, Beatrice, Lewis, Charles, Henry, and Hugh.
Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Bert Jicha, will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service..
Interment following services will be in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
