Dorothy Corinne Ford, 83 of North East, MD, died Friday, March 4, 2005 in Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in McDonogh, MD, now the McDonogh School on August 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Carroll Basler and the late Lina Neudecker Basler.Mrs. Ford had worked at Hecht's Department Store, Hochschild-Kohn Department Store, Recipe Foods, and was the assistant office manager at Pirelli Cable in Elkton, MD. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and keeping abreast of current events. Mrs. Ford was an avid reader and quilter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin A. Ford 1989; her son, Charles H. Cursey, Jr., 1965; sister, Hazel Basler Sprinkle; and brothers, Samuel L. and Carroll F. Basler. Survivors include her grandchldren, Carol Cursey Brockhart, Christine Cursey, Richard Cursey, and David Cursey, all of Baltimore County, MD; step-daughter, Virginia Y. Ford Almbert, Glen Burnie, MD; and brothers, John L. Basler, Sun City, AZ, Ralph Basler, Westminster, MD, and Herbert Basler, Owings Mills, MD. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Dr. Rev. Allen P. Dickerson of Maranatha Baptist Church, Elkton, MD will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. "I will miss you, your friend Brenda."
