Donnie Ray Gilbert

Donnie Ray Gilbert, 52 of North East, MD, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton, on September 6, 1970.

Donnie worked as a skilled carpenter.  He was an avid horseshoe player, enjoyed woodworking, fishing, drawing, crabbing and NASCAR.  He enjoyed making people laugh.

Survivors include his children: Emily Renee Gilbert (Anthony) of Colora, MD, Dylan Gilbert and Timothy Holland both of North East, MD; his mother: Deborah Sue (Bandy) Richardson, of North East, MD; sister: Dana Murley (Sidney) of Elkton, MD; grandchildren: Ashton, Timmy, Taylor and Hayden; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; his father: Danny Ray Gilbert (Debbie) of Middletown, DE; and siblings: Danny Trimble and Candy Speakman.

Donnie was preceded in death by his dad: Jeff Richardson.

Memorial service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
