Donald C. Potter, Sr.

Donald C. Potter, Sr., 66 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at home. Born in Grundy, VA, on June 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Clarence and the late Marie Phillips Potter. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and most recently worked for the State of Delaware. He enjoyed baseball, bowling and golf. Survivors include his children: Donald C. Potter, Jr. of Elkton, MD and Donna Delarosa of Kingsville, TX; 4 grandchildren: Reuben Naranjo, Jr., Julie Delarosa, Robert Potter and Caleb Potter; and 3 great grandchildren: Xander Orion Galvan, Lucius Madden-Lee Galvan and Tobias Ruben-Dario Hinojosa. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Robert William Potter. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Daniel Gedman will officiate. Interment will be May 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
